PERSONNEL VEHICLES
________________________________________
Vehicles are used in nearly every Civ in Deadstar as means of transporting beings and goods.
When PILOTING a vehicle, a being assumes the vehicle’s listed statistics, any unlisted statistics are retained. Attackers may not target a vehicle’s pilot unless it is MALFUNCTIONING or has the Exposed attribute.

JÖTUNN
________________________________________
Jötunn are mechanical, vaguely humanoid-shaped, vehicles that augment the abilities of their users. Ranging from small person-sized loaders to massive cloud-skraping walking-fortresses, Jötunn rule the surface of nearly every planet in the Adonai system. The pilots of Jötunn are known colloquially as “djynn.”
When PILOTING a Jötunn, the djynn (pilots) assumes the Jötunn’s listed statistics, any unlisted statistics are retained. In addition, attackers may not target a Jötunn’s pilot unless it is MALFUNCTIONING or has the Exposed attribute.

SHAV
_______________________________
SHAV or "Space-faring High-Atmosphere Vehicles" are commonly seen soaring in the skies of any planet in the Adonai system. They offer versatility both within planetary atmospheres as jets and as small Cricket class starships in the vacuum of space. While larger starships allow for Leaps and offer increased hauling and crew capacity, they lack the blistering speed and precision handling of a SHAV.
The pilot(s) assumes all the SHAV’s stats while piloting, any unlisted stats remain the same. While flying in the atmosphere, SHAV’s must continue moving forward. While flying in the atmosphere, if a SHAV’s flying speed is reduced below one (1) mega unit per round it will begin to fall.

VEHICLE TERMS
____________________________________
CREW: The Crew number refers to the amount of humanoids required to pilot the vehicle as well as the maximum capacity of humanoids. A vehicle’s crew shares an initiative score with each crewmember individually designating one major action the vehicle may take per round.
EXPOSED: When dealing damage to the vehicle, the attacker may choose to target the pilot (where damage will be dealt to their Health Points [HP]) or the vehicle itself (where damage will be dealt to its Condition [CD]).
HOVER: SHAVs with this Attribute may maintain altitude without maintaining a flight speed of one (1) mega unit per round.
LIFT: A vehicle’s LIFT score determines the number of beings it may hold. When calculating the required LIFT score to support a crew, all crewmembers’ LIFT values are added together then divided by the number of crewmembers.
TURN: This number refers to the maximum turn angle a vehicle can take while moving at top speed (orientation of selectable Quadrants).
